The Youth Support Podium has paid a visit to the National Service Scheme Agriculture Project located on the Tema–Aflao road at Dawhenya under the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority. The 500 acres of land was leased to the NSS for the production of maize and vegetables in 2011 and the scheme is undertaking fish farming on the Dawhenya Lake with four cages currently holding 20,000 fingerlings of tilapia. This visit was geared towards identifying and scouting for collaborative projects in the agric sector which would in turn create jobs and fuel capacity building in the agriculture. A 200 acre land has been allocated the Youth support Podium as part of the collaborative initiative to introduce the seed and seedlings bank project in planting Noni Moringa, Bitter leavevs , Cinnamon and other myriad of seedlings as well. Discussions and documentations are underway to establish Memorandum of Understanding for the youth support podium to supply seeds, agric produces, consultancy and advisory as well bring students and individuals to be engaged in practical hands on training at the NSS Agric Site .
